The Lions currently sit just outside the playoff zone in 8th place and will be looking to turn around an away form which has not seen them win a game since a 4-0 win over Stockport at Edgeley Park in October.
The biggest news for today’s fixture is undoubtedly the wonderful news that both sides will be playing wearing a one off Street Violence Ruins Lives logo rather than a kit sponsor on their shirt. A move which should see great respect shown to both clubs for their brilliant Christmas message.
On the pitch, however, a heated contest is expected as both sides will want to gain the victory in the first South East London derby of the season.
In team news for the Addicks both Frazer Richardson and Kelly Youga are still struggling with injuries and are doubts for the game, however, with the promising performances shown by Elliot Omozuzi, Grant Basey and Scott Wagstaff, the Addicks will be brimming with confidence for today’s fixture.
I predict Charlton will name an unchanged side of:
GK: Rob Elliot
RB: Elliot Omozusi
CB: Sam Sodje
CB: Christian Dailly
LB: Grant Basey
RM: Lloyd Sam
CM: Jose Semedo
CM: Nicky Bailey ©
LM: Scott Wagstaff
CF: David Mooney
CF: Deon Burton
Subs: Darren Randolph, Miguel Llera, Matt Spring, Therry Racon, Jonjo Shelvey, Leon McKenzie, Akpo Sodje
Come on you Addicks!
