Charlton will tomorrow journey the 30 miles South East into the depths of Kent to face Gillingham in a game which is certain to be a hotly contested fixture.
Phil Parkinson has revealed that he has no injury worries for the fixture against The Gills and will be looking to take a full strength squad into the match.
Gillingham will be without striker Scott Vernon, who damaged his ankle ligaments last weekend but will be looking to cause an upset against the Addicks, in a match which, if The Gills loose, will see them having lost six of their last eight games. A run which has seen the Kent side drop to 16th in the table, after a promising start to the League One season.
The Londoners however go into the fixture looking to continue their excellent form which has seen them only drop seven points and concede eleven goals in thirteen fixtures.
Charlton will be looking for their ninth win of the season and hoping for a rare Millwall win, as their local rivals take on League leaders Leeds United at the New Den.
With a full strength Charlton squad at the disposal for Phil Parkinson, the main question Addicks fans will be wanting to know is will Parky stick with a 4-4-2 formation with Izale McLeod partnering Deon Burton up front? Or will the Londoners revert to the traditional 4-4-1-1 with Jonjo Shelvey returning for what will be one of the more physical encounters of the season.
My prediction for the Gillingham game is:
GK: Rob Elliot
RB: Frazer Richardson
CB: Christian Dailly
CB: Sam Sodje
LB: Kelly Youga
RM: Lloyd Sam
CM: Jose Semedo
CM: Therry Racon
LM: Nicky Bailey
SS: Jonjo Shelvey
CF: Deon Burton
Subs: Darren Randolph, Chris Solly, Miguel Llera, Matt Spring, Scott Wagstaff, David Mooney, Izale McLeod
At 1pm tomorrow, Charlton will be involved in the 1st round draw for the FA Cup for the first time since the 1980/81 season; the Addicks will be ball number 12 in the programme that will be screened on ITV1.
Come on you Addicks!
