Its been a difficult start to 2005 for the Addicks. A home defeat to Arsenal and an away defeat to Blackburn.
We were never expected to beat Arsenal. The games against the top teams are normally considered as bonus points, because these games you are not expected to win but if you do then they are bonus points.
But the Arsenal game was different from the Chelsea hammering we got a few weeks back. Arsenal wasnt at their best and we could of beaten them. But unfortunatly it was the referee who spoiled the game with some amazing decisions.
I can understand some decisions that we dont get but to have decisions which look like we should have but instead the ref gives the other way is a joke.
The only highlight was El Karkouri's stunning goal - which I missed as I was in the que for a cheeseburger. That last time I do that.
The Blackburn result was disappointing. It was one of those games which we should of got the 3 points. But we didnt deserve them. It was a bad display from what i have read and we didnt threaten enough. Hopefully this will show Curishley how much we need another striker.
Rochdale are next at The Valley in the FA Cup which I hope we take very serious this year. Its my favourite competition in England and I hope we have a good run this season.
