Man of the Match: Dennis Rommendahl
It is very rare when you can say we should of come away from St James Park with a win. But thats exactly how Charlton felt after there 1-1 draw we Newcastle Utd
It was a nervy start but the longer the game went on, the more we shold have won it. It was great to see us bounce straight back after Dyer put Newcastle in the lead. Even better to see Rommendahl get the goal
Dennis came here with a big reputation and is now starting to show it. He was fantastic and really did well with his goal and was unlucky not to score the winner minutes later.
It was also great to see Chris Perry back. He is probably the best defender we currently have and its a real bonus for us to have him back in the first team.
We have alittle break now before the big FA Cup game, which is a must win game. We have a chance in the competition this year and we must do everything we can to take it. A win over Leicester and then another home round and we could be in the semi's. Lets hope it happens.
