I said before the game that this was a must win match for us. And the boys didnt let us down.
We have now won 5 of our last 7 games, with the 2 defeats against Man U and Chelsea. We are in great form at the moment and have the opportunity to make it even better with a trip to Southampton on boxing day followed by high flying Everton at home a few days later. Both games we can certainly win.
Last nights result was very positive. Jerome Thomas was sensational and it was great to see him score his first Valley goal. Danny Murphy was also superb and was very unlucky not to open his Valley account in the second half.
Other players who deserve a mention include Dennis Rommendahl and Radostin Kishishev, who I do dislike and normally moan at every game but he was very solid and player well.
Southampton are next at St Marys on boxing day. Ill be there hoping to keep my 100% win record when I go away from home. It is once again a must win game considering Southamptons current postition.
Hopefully the recent good form away might see us bring a big more of a crowd to St Marys. I was there last year and we only took 900 fans but from what I have heard we have already sold more this time around
So 15 points out of 21. Thats a pretty nice Christmsa present already but 6 more would be nice against Everton and Soton.
