The Addicks skipper on his non-appearance for England in midweek: "I'm a little bit disappointed but I still enjoyed the experience. I think he (Sven) wanted to give the more attacking players a game, especially with us being 1-0 down, so a lot of the midfielders and strikers got on. But I think the fact that I've started a few games already and the manager's had the chance to see me from the start means he's seen what I can do."
And on Darren Bent’s debut performance: "I think he worked really hard and he had a couple of chances - if he scores one of them it could have been different for him and it was unlucky for him that he didn't. Their back four dropped really deep, which made it difficult for him to make his darting runs in behind, which is sort of his trademark. But he'll be really pleased to finally get his first cap and I think that he did well enough."
