Pardew said, "That was a massive win for us"
"To come off three defeats and then go down to 10 men, and then get the win in front of our own fans in the last minute, doesn't come much better.
"There is a great feeling in the dressing room right now. In your career you don't get many great feelings like that. I told the players that if I was to pick my best five games ever as a manager, that would be in there - that's how big it was."
"The biggest pleasure for me was the clean sheet for the goalkeeper; he deserved one. And the two centre-halves were great.
"I would have been pleased to come and get a 0-0 draw, especially after going down to 10 men, make no mistake.
"It was a very good day for us. Usually after a run of three defeats you come back with a draw so to win this game with 10 men has kind of jumped us up a level.
"This puts us right back on the front foot and we can go to Bristol City and play with our tails up."
