Curbishley admits feeling numb after latest defeat

Alan Curbishley must be wondering if he has taken Charlton as far as he can after this, reported the Daily Mirror.

The Addicks boss blasted: " Obviously we're very down because I don't think we could possibly have gone out of the competition in a worse way than what we've done. At 2-0 up the game was over. Let's give Blackburn credit. They are two down and they have gone for it. I don't think you could make the last 15 minutes up. We have destroyed a fantastic opportunity in this Cup."

Blackburn manager Mark Hughes, never one to give up the ghost easily, decided to take drastic action midway through the second half.

Hughes said: "Once we got one on the board it was always a likelihood we would get back on level terms.''
