Peterborough are set to include midfielder Lee Frecklington, who has overcome an ankle injury.
Defender Gabriel Zakuani could also be included after recovering from a dislocated shoulder.
Charlton manager Chris Powell told BBC Radio Kent: "They don't score too many on the road, it's up to us to keep that because they do have some attacking threats, but on the road they're not the potent force they have been at home.
"It's up to us to keep that back door shut, which we've been good at, and have a positive outlook on the game and it's up to us to force the issue.
"I just want us to maintain our run, we all know where we want to go come the end of the season."
Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I don't think we need to change anything from how we play at home when we go away.
"We just need to name the best side we possibly can. We've got to have good attacking options, stay positive and by that I don't mean just going gung-ho.
"With the two away games we've had since I've been back, I felt the Brighton game we lacked a little belief, but I think we deserved to win the Colchester game."
