Charlton are considering whether to appeal against the red card shown to midfielder Jose Semedo in the 1-0 win over Bournemouth. Semedo was shown a straight red card just after the hour mark for a foul on Cherries substitute Michael Symes. "I thought at the time the sending-off was harsh. We've just seen it and it was a yellow card at most," said Addicks manager Phil Parkinson. "The chairman is just having a look at it now and we will decide whether we are going to appeal against it. "Jose Semedo is probably the most honest player you are likely to come across and he slid in, won the ball, and I think the Bournemouth players' reaction more than anything else influenced the referee."
