Benson took his tally since joining the Addicks from Dagenham to seven with the equaliser in Tuesday night's 1-1 draw against Bristol Rovers.
"There are still elements of my game I can work on," he said.
"There are certain things I can do to help the side even more.
"I may have moved clubs but it doesn't feel like that. I'm loving it here and hopefully I can stay longer than my initial contract."
