Rochdale vs Charlton PREVIEW

Last updated : 28 January 2011 By Matt Fricker

Following last Saturday's triumphant return for new Charlton manager Sir Chris Powell the Addicks travel to Rochdale for their first fixture against the League One new boys.

While it's their first season in League One, Rochdale have been performing impressively this season, finding themselves ninth in the table and only two points behind Charlton.

Rochdale have also only lost twice at home all season, so the Addicks will have their work cut out for them.

In team news, Paul Benson is able to return from suspension, but faces heavy competition up front from both Liverpool loanee (and debut goalscorer) Nathan Eccleston and the top scorer in League One (who we signed late on Monday night), Bradley Wright Phillips.

It's also hoped that Johnnie Jackson will be available again following his early departure from injury last weekend.

Against Plymouth in Sir Chris' first game in charge we played with a real confidence that had seemed to disappear from our game, hopefully, we'll be able to pull out a repeat performance tomorrow.

With all this in mind, I think Sir Chris will start with an unchanged starting line up of:

GK: Rob Eliott

RB: Simon Francis

CB: Gary Doherty

CB: Christian Dailly (c)

LB: Matt Fry

RM: Alan McCormack

CM: Therry Racon

CM: Jose Semedo

LM: Johnnie Jackson

SS: Scott Wagstaff

ST: Joe Anyinsah

SUBS: Ross Worner, Jonathan Fortune, Carl Jenkinson, Kyel Reid, Nathan Eccleston, Bradley Wright Phillips, Pawel Abbott

COME ON YOU ADDICKS!!!!!!
