Charlton Athletic vs Leyton Orient

Last updated : 18 August 2009 By Matt Fricker

Charlton's confident start to their first ever League One season is set to continue tonight with a trip to East London rivals Leyton Orient.

In reflection of the performances shown by the players at Hartlepool on Saturday, Charlton Manager Phil Parkinson said, "We were very pleased with the result. It was not only a good, solid performance, but also a professional performance and that's what pleased us the most.

"Looking solid was important. It's something we've been talking about and working on, and it was good to see us close the game off with 15 minutes to go. Some of our passing was also good and we had other chances to probably score more. But all in all, a 2-0 win away from home was a good result for us."

With a sold out away allocation of more than 3000 Charlton fans due to be in attendance at Brisbane Road hopes are high that the Addicks will be able to make the 9 point mark after only 3 league fixtures.

In terms of team news, Miguel Llera's head wound re-opened in the closing minutes of the Hartlepool fixture but it is assumed that he will be fit to play in the fixture.

I predict that Phil Parkinson will name an unchanged side from the teams that started against Wycombe and Hartlepool.
